CFC adds Executive Protection, AI Cover to Cyber Policy

As written by Josh Recamara on insurancebusinessmag.com

CFC has updated its Cyber Proactive Response (CPR) policy to cover senior executives personally targeted in cyberattacks, add affirmative wording for AI-related exposures and extend the business interruption indemnity period from 12 to 18 months.

The changes apply to CPR, the cyber product CFC launched in April 2025 for businesses with revenues of up to $250 million. That product embedded proactive attack prevention services in the policy wording and offered unlimited reinstatements with a nil deductible.

When attackers go after the boss

The most distinctive addition is personal cover for senior executives. The updated policy covers personal crime and extortion exposures, temporary relocation costs for executives and their families, and trauma counseling after an attack.
